#Following are some specific scholarship programs offered by US universities:-
1. Joint Japan World Bank Graduates Scholarships:- Both men and women can avail of these scholarships to study development-related master's degree programs, having relevant experience in contributing to the development of their country. The applying candidate must be a citizen of a developing country and hold relevant experience in a development-related position, along with a bachelor’s degree. The scholarship is fully funded by covering tuition fees, health insurance, a living stipend, airfare and travel allowance.
2. AAUW(American Association of University Women) International Scholarships:- The recipients of this fellowship study a wide range of disciplines and work to improve their communities. This grant is primarily offered to the women who are willing to make a difference in the advancement of women and girls through professional and skilled work.

3. Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Programme:-This scholarship program provides a limited number of scholarships to study a postgraduate degree. The foundation gives preference to those students who have no other means to fund their education. The scholarship is 50% grant and 50% loan once a year based on a competitive application procedure. Applicants from India, Egypt, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Pakistan, Afghanistan can apply.
4. American University Emerging Global Leader Scholarship:- The scholarship is the only one that is awarded to the non-U.S. students who want to pursue a bachelor's degree and intend to bring a socially positive change. The scholarship covers full tuition, room and board fees and not other expenses like airfare, books health insurance, and other miscellaneous expenses.
5. Social Policy and coexistence fellowship at Brandeis University:- The purpose of this fellowship is to promote and build institutions in countries where there are conflicts between social groups to develop equality and inter-relationships within the country. The applicants must be either government or international government representatives, or civil society leaders with willpower to work on the issues of diversity within their country. The fellowship covers tuition fees and health insurance but not university fees, living expenses, and airfare.
6. George Washington University Global Leaders Fellowship:-Students who wish to pursue a master’s and doctorate degree with intentions of creating an impact in their respective countries as emerging leaders must apply to this scholarship. The fellowship grants funds from other certified sources for books and living expenses. Students from China, Vietnam, U.S.S.R. Successor States, Mongolia, The Carribean, Eastern Europe, Cambodia.
7. Obama Foundation Scholars Program:- This program at Columbia university hunts the upcoming leaders in the civil society, in a community, in a government or even as an Entrepreneur. The applicant must be at the height of his/her career in a respective field. A well written, spoken, and verbal English proficiency is mandatory. Program benefits cover tuition fees, a monthly stipend, medical, dental and life insurance, and a studio apartment close to the university.
8. Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship:-This fellowship is awarded to the African students who want to pursue MBA in Stanford business school. There are up to 8 applicants who can benefit from this award. Full MBA tuition and associated fees are covered over the course of 2 years under this fellowship. You must be committed to return to Africa and work for at least two years.
9. Microsoft Research Women's Fellowship Program:- This fellowship can be applied from different universities like Princeton, Stanford and Cornell, and other selective universities. One scholarship from each university is awarded to women applicants only. The fellowship award is the US $20,000 which covers tuition fees and travel expenses for one academic-year only with no extension.
10. NYU Wagner Public Service Fellowships for African Women:- This fellowship, funded by the Oprah Winfrey Foundation, develops the opportunities for African women to study public service in their home countries. The goal of providing this scholarship is, the student has to commit to go back to their home country and contribute to resolving the issues faced by Africa. This fellowship is available to only students seeking a degree
11. International Funding Scholarship for Women, Desire to study in the USA 2020:- This program for women provides full-time research or study scholarships for under-graduate, masters and doctorate programs without application fees. The IWS institution offers these programs to encourage women empowerment. The funding is US$18,000, US$28,000, US$26,000 and US$32,000 for undergraduate, masters, doctorate and post-doctoral degree programs respectively.
12. US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Ph.D. Scholarships:-This program is offered by Higher education of Pakistan, for Pakistani students who want to pursue a Ph.D. The available scholarships are 1500 and can be obtained in various fields like Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities, Agriculture & Food Security, Nanotechnology, Medical & Allied Health Science, Robotics, Microelectronics, etc. The scholarship doesn't cover tuition fees and is offered to a period of 5 years based on academic excellence.
