# Difference between MIS and Computer Science (CS):-
- One of the major differences is that a curriculum in MS in computer science will be about studying the science behind the databases and operating systems
work, knowing technical concepts behind algorithms, programming languages, research methods, and artificial intelligence.
- However, in an MIS degree in IT, you will study managing, storing, and using information systems for the benefit of the organizations, companies, or customers.
- Basically, the difference between the two courses is that your purpose and application of the knowledge you gather changes with respect to the curriculum.
